Painting workshop in the dark at Atelier Vivalo in Den Bosch
The workshop

What do you do during the workshop?

During the workshop in Den Bosch you paint your own portrait on canvas, completely in the dark. A beamer projection guides you, so you never face an empty canvas.

The beamer shows, step by step, which area to fill in and in which shade. At least 3 days beforehand you send in a photo, which Victor turns into light projections. That way you build up your portrait layer by layer, from light to dark.

The darkness is the tool, not the point. So it is not about technique or talent, but about daring to start. That is the idea behind Atelier Vivalo: anyone can paint.

What a fun workshop at Victor’s studio. You get clear instructions, and personal tips along the way to help you reach a great end result.

Roel – outing with friends (via Google)

You work on your painting in layers, and while you are busy you have no idea how the result will turn out. When it is finished he takes it into the light. Wow, what a beautiful painting you end up with. Just for Victor’s enthusiasm you would book a workshop.

Wilma – outing with friends (via Google)
